What is TownTalk?
TownTalk is THE guide to towns and cities throughout the UK. We were set up to help towns to re-establish themselves at the heart of the communities they serve, helping local retailers, local producers and local people.
TownTalk sites are dedicated to specific towns, carrying detailed up to date information about local businesses, including:-
- Restaurant guides
- Special Offers
- Local Jobs
- What’s On
- Vacant Property Guide
Businesses can add their own details and members of the public can send in their own news and even reviews, which, once validated, will be published immediately.
The sites are effectively social networking sites for business; putting local communities in touch with one another.
Shoppers can find exactly what they’re looking for, and business reach new customers to help their businesses grow.
Investment
TownTalk has had more than £1.4 million invested in the network, mainly from the public sector, including the European Regional Development Fund, the London Development Agency, local Councils, Chambers of Commerce and grants.
Increasingly, businesses are valuing the use of the sites as a means to advertise their products and services and thanks to sponsorship and advertising revenue, the network has established itself as a significant on line publisher, attracting almost 1 million unique visitors each month.
Partnerships
We work closely with Town Centre Managers, Chambers of Commerce and Town Partnerships to promote the towns and to remind people about the little gems that they have right under their noses!!
Town centres are re-establishing themselves as vibrant, exciting places to live, work and socialise. There are always plenty of things to do, if only there was a way to find out!! Now there is, thanks to TownTalk!!
